PRIDES-Rural

PRIDES-Rural program serves Culberson County providing youth sessions typically in a school setting for youth of all ages. Group sessions focus on teaching youth social, drug resistance, and personal self-management skills. PRIDES program also provides prevention presentations available to the community to increase parent and youth knowledge, skills, and attitudes.

PRIDES-Rural Program Includes

  • Youth enrolled in the program participate in groups twice a week for 45 mins for a total of 8 weeks utilizing curriculum that focuses on building life skills
  • Staff also host fun and engaging activities for the participants to enjoy in a safe, drug-free environment
  • Share information with the community to change attitudes on substance use and mental health disorders
  • Refer participants to additional education or intensive services
