Pregnant Postpartum Intervention
The Pregnant Postpartum Intervention (PPI) program provides community-based, gender-specific outreach, and intervention services for pregnant and postpartum females with substance use disorders or who are at risk of developing substance use disorders.
Eligibility Criteria
- Pregnant and postpartum females who are Texas residents and who are identified as being at risk of having, or who have, a substance use disorder
- Postpartum includes the period from birth through 10 months of age of the female infant
- Females referred by the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) who are identified as being at risk of having, or who have a substance use disorder and who have children under the age of six
PPI Program Includes
- Program services offered Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or by appointment
- Case management services
- Engagement in positive alternative activities to increase family bonding
- Comprehensive linkage to services
- Curriculum education utilizing evidence-based practices
- Outreach services to include distribution of risk reduction kits
