HIV Street Outreach Program-

Is an intervention program that seeks to increase opportunities for active substance abusers and their partners at risk for communicable diseases. This program targets substance abusers who may not be seeking treatment and provides culturally relevant information, activities, referrals, and education directed toward informing them about the relationship between drug use, HIV and other communicable diseases, including Hepatitis C.

HIV Early Intervention (HEI) -

Is a program designed to improve the health status of substance abusers infected with HIV and other communicable diseases by promoting linkages between community-based substance abuse, health and other social service providers. This program provides comprehensive service coordination, education on communicable diseases, support for disease management, and recovery from substance abuse behavior for HIV infected persons identified as having substance abuse and problems and/or dependence.

Pregnant Postpartum Intervention (PPI) -

Is a program that targets pregnant and/or postpartum women with children under the age of 18 months who are at risk of becoming substance abusers. Women who are determined to be at risk of becoming substance abusers are offered :

  • Individual case management services
  • Transportation
  •    Parenting education
  •    Developmental Screening for children 3 and under
  •  


    IMASTAR -

    The program provides services to students from the Socorro Independent School District that have been placed at the Key’s Academy Alternative School. Services include intervention individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, referrals as needed and alternative activities. IMASTAR staff provide these youth with a variety of services, including education and skills training using the Positive Action curriculum, and prevention education skills training including presentations that include minor and tobacco information.

    Project Aware -

    Project Aware is an intensive case management program that calls for developing multiple partnerships throughout the community to serve families referred to Aliviane by the Department of Family and Protective Services. The intensive case management services offered are directly linked to substance abuse and mental health treatment services in an effort to increase timely access early intervention and prevention services for children and adults, substance abuse treatment for adults and adolescents, mental health treatment for adults and youth, mentoring services for children, and other services.

    Project Aware is a special program that involves the collaboration of Aliviane and Big Brothers Big Sisters of El Paso who provides mentors for children ages 6 to 17 in need.
