![]() | MISSION | To provide a comprehensive and integrated continuum of high quality trauma informed behavioral health, interventions, treatment, and education services. | VISION | We envision a society where people who are addicted to alcohol or other drugs, people in recovery from addiction, and people at-risk of addiction are valued and treated with dignity, and where stigma, accompanying attitudes, discrimination, and other barriers to recovery are eliminated. We envision a society where addiction is recognized as a public health issue, a treatable disease for which individuals should seek and receive treatment, and where treatment is recognized as a specialized field of expertise. | HISTORY | Aliviane, Inc. is a minority operated, private, non-profit 501(C)(3) community-based organization, incorporated in 1970, and headquartered in El Paso, Texas. Over the past 40 years, Aliviane has developed a broad range of prevention, intervention, and treatment programs in the areas of substance abuse, behavioral health, and education. Aliviane also coordinates a strong network of community support and an array of interagency agreements to provide a continuum of care in West Texas. Traditionally, Aliviane has provided treatment and education to hard core substance abusers who are considered difficult to rehabilitate, who are below poverty level economic status, and have no access to for profit treatment facilities. In 1989, Aliviane initiated women and children’s residential treatment services, becoming one of the first programs in Texas and nationally to do so. Ten years later Aliviane developed adolescent services with a federal grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Today, Aliviane is the primary provider of treatment/prevention services in West Texas for men, women, and adolescents in El Paso County at different levels of intensity to meet the unique needs of clients. Aliviane has several facilities throughout the area designed to assist clients with many services including intensive residential treatment, behavioral health counseling for individuals and families, health education, and supportive outpatient services for clients whose substance abuse problems have not reached a critical stage. All facilities are licensed and funded by the Texas Department of State Health Services, with additional funds for program services provided by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Administration for Children & Families (ACF), Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS), Office of Minority Health (OMH), Department of Justice (DOJ), and the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA). Aliviane, Inc. is also a United Way of El Paso participating agency.
